CARE

Crafted to Last
Caring thoughtfully for your BELLAURA pieces helps preserve their quality, longevity, and the craftsmanship behind them. Proper care honours the work of our European artisans and helps each garment retain its elegance and functionality over time.
GENERAL CARE GUIDELINES
We recommend dry cleaning most pieces to maintain their natural beauty, structure, and long-term wearability. If you choose to machine wash, please do so sparingly, using only a low-temperature, delicate cycle. Turn garments inside out, avoid harsh detergents, and air them out between wears to refresh their look and feel.
WOOL AND WOOLEN BLENDS
Dry clean only to maintain the integrity and structure of our wool fabrics. These textiles should not be washed, as this may distort their form or finish. To freshen garments between wears, hang them in a well-ventilated space and allow the fibres to breathe.

KNITWEAR
Knitwear benefits most from gentle, occasional care. Air pieces out between wears to refresh. For natural odour removal, place the knitwear item in a breathable bag in the freezer overnight. If washing is necessary, hand wash gently in cold water using a wool detergent. Avoid wringing or stretching while wet. We do not recommend washing the Matilde Hat, as this may alter its shape.
VISCOSE SATIN
To maintain viscose satin’s luster and drape, dry clean only. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading and preserve the fabric’s rich colour. Use a gentle steamer to release wrinkles and preserve the fabric’s soft texture.
TENCEL
For our Tencel pieces, we recommend dry cleaning to maintain their colour and drape, and airing them out between wears to preserve their softness and structure. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to protect the fabric from fading. Lightly steam to remove wrinkles without damaging the texture.

COTTON
Dry cleaning is preferable, especially for structured or intricate pieces. When machine washing, opt for a low-temperature, delicate cycle. Use minimal detergent, reshape while damp, and air dry.
SWIMWEAR
Rinse swimwear in cold water after each wear to remove chlorine, salt, and sunscreen residues. Avoid wringing or twisting and lay flat to dry in the shade. Wash only when needed, using a gentle detergent.
