Our swimwear is made from Vita by Carvico, a technically advanced fabric produced in Italy. Vita is crafted using ECONYL® yarn, a regenerated nylon made from discarded fishing nets and industrial waste. It was not chosen to follow a trend, but because it meets our standards for quality, aesthetics, and thoughtful production.
Vita by Carvico is designed to perform beautifully under sun, saltwater, and chlorine. It offers UPF 50+ UV protection, high resistance to sunscreen and oils, and a quick-drying, lightweight feel that retains its shape and softness wash after wash. These are the qualities that matter when a piece is made to last.
We use regenerated nylon instead of newly produced fibres to make use of materials that already exist. That alone does not make a product responsible, but it is one of many considered decisions we make throughout the design process. We prefer to state this plainly rather than overstate it.
Both the Clara Swimsuit and Ella Bikini come with a complimentary bag made from leftover materials from our clothing production, a small way to extend the life of fabrics we have already worked with, and to deliver each piece with care.
