Albano Morgado – Woven Heritage

Our wool fabrics are created in collaboration with Albano Morgado, a family-owned textile mill in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal. Established in 1927 and now led by the third generation, the mill carries nearly a century of expertise in wool weaving, combining traditional craft with modern precision to produce textiles defined by refinement and longevity.

A Portuguese Mill with Generations of Craft

Since 1927, Albano Morgado has specialised in weaving wool fabrics for outerwear and tailoring. What makes the mill distinctive is its continuity: the same family, the same dedication, and the same understanding that great fabric cannot be rushed. Three generations have built on what came before, refining both technique and standard with each passing decade.

Craftsmanship Grounded in Quality

With full control over each stage of production, Albano Morgado works with care and consistency from raw fibre to finished fabric. Their approach balances deep technical knowledge with a genuine respect for the material, resulting in textiles made to last and improve with wear. It is this quiet insistence on doing things properly that drew us to them.

Consideration in Every Step

The mill recycles its own wool waste, treats and reuses water, and sources mulesing-free wool. It maintains high standards for working conditions and has invested in energy-efficient facilities. These are not marketing claims but instead simply the way Albano Morgado works. And they reflect the same values that run through everything we make.
